Dr Zsuzsanna Csereklyei, Senior Lecturer, School of Economics, Finance and Marketing, RMIT University
Dr Zsuzsanna Csereklyei is an economist focusing on energy transitions, electricity market design and on the adoption of efficient technologies.
Dr Csereklyei’s work includes publications in the Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Ecological Economics, Journal of Econometrics and Energy Policy. Her current research includes several projects in the field of energy transitions in the European Union and in the United States, including energy profile forecasting. Her research also encompasses projects on electricity market investments in Australia, and the opportunities for utility-scale batteries in Australia’s National Electricity Market. Dr Csereklyei worked for over eight years in management positions in industry and in consulting.
Associate Professor Tihomir Ancev, School of Economics, University of Sydney
Tiho Ancev is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, University of Sydney. He is an applied economist with expertise in the fields of energy, environmental, agricultural, and natural resource economics. Tiho is Managing Editor-in-Chief of The Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
Associate Professor Tim Nelson, Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics, Griffith University & Executive General Manager, Energy Markets at Infigen Energy
Tim was recently appointed the Executive General Manager, Energy Markets at Infigen Energy. During 2019, Tim was the Executive General Manager, Strategy and Economic Analysis, at the Australian Energy Market Commission where he established its thought leadership and quantitative analysis capabilities. Up until November 2018, Tim was the Chief Economist of AGL Energy and led the company's public policy advocacy and its sustainability and ESG strategy. In particular, he led development of AGL's revised Greenhouse Gas Policy, climate risk disclosure and the Powering Australian Renewables Fund (PARF) concept. He is also a member of the Westpac Stakeholder Advisory Council and is on the Research Committee for the Centre for Policy Development. He has previously been a director of Sustainable Business Australia and served on the Grattan Institute Energy Reference Group as well as stakeholder expert groups for the Finkel Review and various energy white paper processes.
Tim is an Associate Professor at Griffith University and is widely published in Australian and international peer-reviewed journals. He is currently researching electricity tariff design in a high penetration renewables environment, management theory in relation to climate change responses by companies and modelling climate change mitigation scenarios in the energy sector.
Dr Anne Kallies, Senior Lecturer, Graduate School of Business and Law, RMIT University
The emphasis of Dr Kallies’ research is on energy and environmental law, which a special focus on renewable energy and electricity market regulation. Her research draws on her study and work experience in Australia and Germany. She holds a German law degree, a LLM and a PhD, both completed at Melbourne Law School.
Dr Kallies has previously worked for the German Federal Environmental Agency and has been an administrator and researcher in the Centre for Resources, Energy and Environmental Law at Melbourne Law School. She is a regular commentator in The Conversation on energy law and policy.
