Since 2012, Economics of Energy & Environmental Policy (EEEP) Journal has provided a scholarly and research-based, yet easily read and accessible source of information on contemporary economic thinking and analysis of policy issues in the interface between energy and environmental economics. The editors strive to bi-annually publish a blend of original refereed articles and notes, feature articles, commentaries, letters to the editors, and book reviews on energy and environmental economic topics.

The journal aims to nurture a dialogue between academics, business and public authorities. It covers policy issues worldwide and is published twice each year.

Prof. Dr. Anne Neumann is full professor at the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology at NTNU, Adjunct Professor at NHH Bergen, and MIT-CEEPR Affiliate. Previously, she served as Director of Research for NTNU’s Energy Transition Initiative (NETI), worked as Senior Researcher in the Department of Energy, Transport, Environment at DIW Berlin, and was Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Potsdam.

Her research experience of more than 20 years draws on industrial organization, competition economics, and econometrics, with academic and policy-relevant publications and advisory work. In 2024, she served as President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), having previously served as Vice-President for Publications (The Energy Journal).

Currently, she is an Editor with Energy Policy and serves on the Editorial Board of The Energy Journal. She has participated in several interdisciplinary EU projects, projects funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research and the Norwegian Research Council, as well as commissioned studies.

Anne has international teaching experience, has (co-)supervised PhD students from several universities, and has developed research agendas across disciplines. She studied economics at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and holds a PhD in Economics from TU Dresden.

Economics of Energy & Environmental Policy (EEEP) is supported by an international Editorial Board of leading scholars and experts in energy and environmental economics and policy. The Board brings diverse academic and professional perspectives, helping maintain the journal’s high standards of research quality, relevance, and rigor.

Peer Review
The Economics of Energy & Environmental Policy (EEEP) is a journal focused on the policy implications of the economic factors affecting and affected by policy decisions in these critical and overlapping fields. The purpose is to provide analysis which will stimulate constructive dialogue and thereby encourage improved policy.
Readers are invited to submit letters of not more than two pages (i.e., not more than 1000 words) concisely and impersonally reacting to articles appearing in EEEP.
