Dear IAEE Members,
I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of the International Association of Energy Economics. I have been part of the IAEE community since 2014, contributing to the organisation of several international and regional conferences. Originally from Ukraine, raised in France, and currently based in Norway, my background reflects the international character of our Association, and together with my team we bring a strong sense of purpose, optimism, and a future-oriented vision to the continued growth of IAEE.
IAEE is a global platform for advancing ideas and fostering collaboration at a time of rapid transformation across global energy markets and policy frameworks. Our conferences remain central to this mission, serving as key spaces for networking, dialogue, and the creation of new partnerships. Equally important are IAEE’s publications, which play a vital role in disseminating research and ideas across our global community. It is my ambition to further develop Economics of Energy and Environmental Policy (EEEP), maintain the strong success of The Energy Journal, and strengthen IAEE’s broader communication channels, including the monthly newsletter and Energy Forum.
I would also like to warmly thank Julie Sutter and Rebecca Lilley for their work and commitment to the Association. Their experience and continuity have been greatly appreciated.
Looking ahead, modernising how IAEE communicates and engages its members is a strategic priority. Increasing the involvement of students and young professionals is essential to ensuring the Association’s long-term relevance and impact. Together with my team, and in close collaboration with the Council, we aim to make IAEE more accessible, responsive, and forward-looking.
I value openness, efficiency, and dialogue, and I warmly invite members to share ideas and engage in conversation. Please feel free to reach out at iaee@iaee.org.
Sincerely,
Olga Radionenko
Executive Director
