Aportación destacada al Premio a la Profesión Desde 1981, la IAEE ha otorgado un premio anual por aportaciones excepcionales en el ámbito de la economía de la energía y de su literatura. Premio de Periodismo En 1983, la IAEE instituyó el Premio IAEE a la Excelencia en el Periodismo escrito sobre temas relacionados con la economía de la energía internacional. El premio fue generosamente financiado en 1983 y 1984 por John K. Evans, en 1985 y 1986 por Temple, Barker & Sloane y en 1993 y 1996 por el International Petroleum Exchange. Publicación: No es necesaria publicación Participación en la Conferencia: El Premio es generalmente dado en una Conferencia Internacional de la IAEE y se solicita al ganador que se dirija a la audiencia con un breve discurso, a veces anecdótico, de no más de 5 minutos. La presentación de este premio corre a cargo del que sea Presidente de la IAEE en esa fecha.
